Equitea is a mindful personal finance planning and cashflow modeling web platform designed to help individuals, couples, families, and housemates achieve financial peace and clarity. Our services include:

Self-Reported Budget Planning: Manual entry and organization of gross income, customizable living expenses, giving, and recurring subscriptions without connecting bank accounts.
Tax & Payroll Deduction Estimation: Automated statutory tax estimates (Federal, State, and FICA) and manual tax override controls for custom paystub calculations.
Solo & Collaborative Planning: Independent personal budgeting with optional multi-member sharing, allowing partners or housemates to collaborate on a unified budget or view individual split perspectives.
What-If Scenario Simulation: Interactive real-time sensitivity modeling for income changes, retirement contributions, HSA allocations, food inflation, and gas price swings.
Sandbox Mode: Risk-free, temporary testing mode allowing users to experiment with budget adjustments without overwriting saved data.
Tithes & Charitable Giving: Dedicated modeling for fixed giving, customizable percentages of gross or net income, and charitable donations.
Data Portability & Erasure: Tools to export complete budget data in JSON format and permanently erase user accounts and associated records upon request.

4. User Accounts & Google Authentication

To access Equitea, you must authenticate using a valid Google account. You agree to:

Maintain the security of your Google account credentials.
Be responsible for all activities and updates made under your account session.
Ensure you have the consent of any third parties (such as a partner or spouse) whom you invite to your collaborative household plans.

5. Collaborative Households & Sharing Rules

Ownership: Each Google account owns one primary household document.
Invited Members: Users invited to a household are granted read and write permissions to collaboratively update budgets, expense line items, and income details.
Owner Authority: The owner retains the exclusive right to remove members and permanently delete the household document.

6. Prohibited Activities

When accessing or using Equitea, you agree not to:

Use the service for any illegal, unauthorized, or fraudulent purpose.
Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the security, integrity, or network availability of the service.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service code or architecture.
Deploy automated scrapers, bots, or unauthorized scripts to extract data from our APIs or databases.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise indicated, Equitea, including its design, source code, algorithms, user interface, and branding, is our proprietary property. Your financial data remains your personal property.
